So Hannah brings home all of these cool projects that take up a ton of space. They made a diaramma of an insect habitat, etc. So...I got one of those big portfolio binders and have been putting her art papers and stuff in there, and think I am going to take pictures of her big projects and put them in there, then throw the project away. She is only in 2nd grade and we already have so many papers and things. I feel kind of bad throwing away these projects she works hard on, but at least we have the picture and they aren't going to last forever, you know?

How do you organize this stuff? What do you all keep or throw out?

I have a filing cabinet and file them in the drawer- name and year on back.

But what about the big stuff? Paper Mache pigs, habitats, 3-D art projects?

The really cute stuff I'll try to keep[ but the other stuff I keep until it gets tossed. I wish I had thought of the picture idea. I'm going to start doing that.

I scan little things but I would also take several pictures of something large. Electronic data takes up no extra space. I usually display whatever for a least a month.

Do the tiny shoes she wore in our wedding count? I came across them today looking for things to give to my cousin. She's not getting those shoes. They grow up too fast.

Stuff like that I vacuum seal and put in the ottoman in our bedroom. The girl's baptism dresses are in there, etc.
