at what age did your child have their first sleep over at someone elses house (their age child, not family unless it was a sleepover with a cousin kinda thing)?
If they haven't yet, when do you think you will let them?

Isabella and Josephine were 6 and almost 5 and went to the same sleepover at Zara's who is a godmother but has kids their age. Hannah had a sleepover with her cousin at five.

Five seems okay for Natalia and Sophia but I am super picky about where they can go without me.

Nichole has had a few. One with her friend Abby, and once at her friend Emma's. Both are very close friends of mine. And the only places I would let her go
That's pretty young. Not suggesting it's wrong in any way, just surprised they would feel secure being away from mom and dad over night. At lot of younger kids often think they want to spend the night, but when it comes time to go to bed, they want to go home.

you are talking about my kid here! lol She is miss independent! I would never let her go anywhere but those two houses though. I would trust both with her life literally.

Maddie was invited to a sleepover with a 2nd cousin but I fel that she is still too young. Plus she is still having accidents occasionally at night. She is just not ready. Even Ben being a little older I just don't feel like he is ready either. I can't say that there is a certain age when either of them will b ready. I guess we will just know. Just depends on the kid.

I agree Phil. I don't think all kids are ready. I would be worried about lots of kids doing like Neal said and want mommy and daddy in the middle of the night.

Not likely Nichol is going to be one of those types that still living at home (in your basement) at the age of 30. :)
And no doubt she is one that has to do everything herself, even it it takes her 10 times as long.

you are so telling me!!! Lord the child thinks she has to do everything herself. We try to tel her its ok to need help once and awhile but she wants nothing to do with that.
Let me guess, if you try to help or ask if she needs help, she tells you to go away, even if she frustrated by she is trying to do? :)

If she gets mad nowadays she'll say, "That's not for me. I'm Talia." As if we had confused her with another child.

They havnt yet and I wont be allowing it at any age unless I have a change of heart. To afraid of abuse :(
Hannah hasn't yet, but I would let her if she wanted to, depending on which friend.
