Jello? I have a jello cookbook with tons of great things to make. One rather odd sounding but yummy uses lime jello with sour cream, onion, dill and cucumber. It is good on a hot day. Phil gags at the mere mention of it, but is too wimpy to even try it.

I don't blame Phil for gagging. No offense Vic but that doesn't sound too tasty! I am not a huge jello person unless in the form of a jello shot!

LOL Heather! I like making the cake with the jello layer and whipped cream frosting. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

What the heck is a "colloidal suspension"? And don't say Jello. :nono:

Jello could be considered a liquid... if you microwave it. :nodding:

Colloidal suspension- A colloid that has a continuous liquid phase in which a solid is suspended in a liquid.

Jeni, I think I know what you are talking about. Cake with jello might be pretty good. :)

I know this one its a family favorite! Bake a regular white cake a directed on the box. Make Jello (strawberry) as directed on the box, though I reduce the water a bit I think the cake is more firm that way, after the cake has cooled poke a lot of holes in with a fork or something like that. Then pour the liquid jello over the cake into each little hole and the edges. Put the cake in the fridge to set. I think a few hours then frost with cool whip and fresh fruit. Yummy and really refreshing!

OOOO it is. To make it healthier you could use sugar free jello and lite cool whip. To me it taste exactly the same either way. The healthy way you would be cutting quit a few calories.
