OK, I interviewed a ped the other day - did not like her! She won't separate the MMR, is hesitant to vary from the recommended vax schedule - and also I asked her about her position on breastfeeding and she said that she supports it but also thinks it is a good idea to supplement with formula.
Now I have nothing against formula feeders - don't get me wrong - but I am looking for a ped that isn't so quick to recommend formula. I think bf is best and formula should be used when bf is not an option - just my opinion, but I do think that a good ped for us will share my views on that.

Then today a friend of mine who is a ped nurse gave me a list of good docs in our area - and I found a group that looks AWESOME

Here is their website www.essehealth.com/watsonpeds.asp

I have an interview with Dr. Karen Norton on Thursday, and I am really excited about it. All the docs in the practice not only work in my area but live in my area, have great qualifications, and are highly recommended.

Sorry, I know you all probably don't care but I am excited to hopefully find a good pediatrician!

I completely understand how you feel. It took a long time after Nichole was born to find one I like. I also am not a formula hater, many people need it and thank God its there!
One doc we went to kept asking me over and over "how much formula does she get?" NONE, well how many bottles? NONE, well when you give her formula how much does she drink NONE!! It drove me nuts like I was lying or something.

My only sugestion is keep being upfront with them of what you expect from them, you will find the right one for you.

When we interviewd Nicholes ped, (in the church parking lot lol) I was upsfront with the fact that she was 12 months old still nursing and would continue to do so, that I was leary of vaccinating her because of past reactions and if I decide to vaccinate it will be much slower then what "they" want. She was fine with it all!!
