View Full Version : Agree, disagree, etc.
I recently saw a vBulletin forum that has a nice feature. At the bottom of all posts are icons for different reactions: agree, disagree, thanks, groan, laugh, etc. It allows you to respond or support a post without making a reply. So if you disagree with something a person said but don't want to get into a argument about it, you can just click on "disagree". It also allows you to thank someone for a post or agree without having to write a short reply; this prevents a string of repetitive, one sentence replies ("I agree" "I agree too" "Yep, that's my thought too" etc). It seems like a useful feature.
Ari, that is interesting/good feature. Is there forum that is currently using this feature; I'd like to check that out? Thx!
I'm just finding this thread now. :eek2: I'd also like to see that feature in action so I can figure out the name of it. Ari, if you remember where you saw this at? Definitely let us know.

That might work. I post +1 a lot when Dadu2004 posts. He and I are kinda on the same page a lot
Then again it might cut down on my post count.
I too would like to see it in action before I cast my final vote.

Can we do a test run? Of course it would take a lot to keep my mouth shut.
Sure we can test run this. I certainly don't want to stop people from posting. I was actually just looking at a past suggestion and thinking maybe you guys would like to see it here. I have been on forums where every third post is "I agree" or "Yep" and that's it. For those forums it can be annoying when people do that. We don't have that problem here and I don't even mind seeing "+1" as that seems to work well too. I will look for the modification that allows this "Agree Button" feature and then if nobody likes it I can quickly remove it. I will let you know once it has been added.
