My Mood:  Rep Power: 37 Reputation: 154 | So how it going Mark? I can tell you that one thing knocks me out at night is Milk. If I have glass of milk, or even better, Cholate milk, I out for 8 hours. I don't any sleeping pills, just 2% milk.

I have a 2D Echo (heart test) scheduled for this week but no other follow-up appointments until next week. The heart test is merely just a "let's make sure" type of test as throughout this whole ordeal I never had any heart complications. As a matter of fact, they said that was one of the organs that did so well which definitely helped me survive this. I am not at 100% yet as I still have weakness in my legs and arms but I am sure that will be going on for a long time. I will update as more news is available. Thanks for asking.

My Mood: Rep Power: 47 Reputation: 308 Children Alexandra (9), Sean (4) | I had a doctor appointment today with the Vascular Surgeon. This is the person responsible for the blood clot. It seems the blood clot isn't gone after all. Apparently the last guy did a scan of my neck where he thought it would be but according to the doctor I saw today, the blood clot is actually going from my neck into my head. It is in the vein that goes up to the brain. Now that is very scary. What is worse is that if it hasn't gone away by now, which it hasn't, then it probably never will. Risk of complications is minimal but it still worries me that it is even there to begin with. All this time I thought it was gone completely but I am not so lucky. I will need to remain on blood thinners for at least a couple more months and possibly until July or August which would be one year after everything happened. Nothing else is planned at this time and even though I feel fine, I still have things going on that hopefully stay silent and don't cause me any future problems.
