Thread: Hi there My name is Phil.

Hello My name is Phil and I am the proud father of two children. Bennett is my oldest he is 5 and just starting Kindergarten. Madelyn is 3 and loving the extra attention that she is getting from Mom now that Ben is in school. They are already pretty active in sports and activities. We like everyone else, lead pretty busy lives. I have a pretty demanding job as a Database Administrator. I am going back to school in order to initiate a career change and I take private painting lessons as well as guitar lessons. I also coach my sons soccer and t-ball teams when they are in season and I teach my daughters Sunday School class. My wife is an activities aid at a nursing home part time. The rest of the time she is a stay at home mom.

I am looking forward to making some new friends here with some common interests and common challenges as well as giving and getting some great advice. Thank you for reading my post if you made it this far. Sorry so long.

Welcome Phil, no doubt having a 3 & 5 year old keeps you pretty busy. Kids at that age have pretty much two gears GO & STOP with an endless supple of energy while awake.

My wife & I have a very precocious 12 year old daughter who is in the 7th grade this year. She does pretty well in school, but what she loves about middle school is the social drama that happens throughout the day and the endless supple of cute boys that she can talk to; in each one of her classes there are least two boys that she REALLY likes.

I dread those days. I have already decided that my daughter is not allowed to talk to boys until I'm dead.

Yes it is even starting already with Hannah (she's 6). There is a boy in her class named Miles that she likes. And last year she had a "boyfriend" named Aidan.

My 5yr old son is in love with a girl in his kindergarten class named Brooke.
