This is the most important debate you will take part in for a very long time. Do you refer to your Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, etc. as Soda or Pop? Here in the north, it is called pop and even though I know most southerners refer to it as soda, I just find that wrong.Not really but it is kinda' funny...
So how about you? Is it soda or pop?

It's soda here in St. Louis. We make fun of people who call it pop! :P
I've lived most of my life in the north east, and it has always been "soda".
DH has relatives in Arkansas. They call everything "Coke". LOL!
I'd say these parts, 90% of the time people say what they are drinking "Coke", "Pespi", etc
yep, here everyone calls it coke. I remember going to McDonalds when I first moved to Texas and I asked for a coke, they said "what kind?" UHG!! Just Coke people!!!
Lol I am a true northerner though (Chicago area) so I call it pop and I teach my daughter to say pop as well. Of course she can't have it but she calls it pop lol
No matter what the brand it is known as pop here. I never knew anyone called it anything else until I got internet access and that was only 6yrs ago

Here in Ohio, most people call it pop. I called it that for most of my life. Then I met my husband, who calls it soda, and I've been calling it soda for the last six years or so.

In our family we call it "that garbage that people drink".
OK, enough.
Other people in our area euphemistically call it "pop".

Gitti, we don't drink it either. Only as a rare treat.
