Thread: letter sounds

I will try and find the Dr. Brain song Hannah learned that by...it was awesome. It is like "Apple, Apple A A A" "Baby, Baby, B B B" hard to explain but it says words then the sound.
Also don't worry to much about it, kids don't normally learn that till kindergarten.

I know I tried to tell her it was okay that she couldn't do it yet and that she would learn it and that she was so smart and such a big girl blah blah blah. lol She wasn't buying it. Which is frustrating, cuz wlll she doesn't have to learn it yet, but she wants to. So I don't want to ignore it kinda thing.
We have a leap frog bus that sings, but it just says "B says ba, B says ba, every letter makes a sound b says ba" and goes throught he whole thing but no words.

Isabella and Josephine learned with a song. It's set to the tune of "Who Let the Dogs Out" but you sing "who let the A out (make the A sound five times) who let the B out (make the b sound five times) etc."

see she can do that part though. She knows what each letter sound is, she just can't correlate it to real words

Okay I hear ya. My brother Robert did that too. I will talk to my mom today so I'll see if she has advice that may help.
