Nyctophobia

So I have a stupid fear of the dark. Last night I was overtired and I turned off my desk light to discover there were no other lights on till the living room. It's nearly pitch black and I say to myself I can do this. I made it about two more steps then I saw the dark bathroom and walked faster, I had to pass three more doorways. I made it about 3steps outside of my door before I RAN to the living room.

DH was sitting there playing Xbox and he looks at me running in my own house and kinda laughs. At least he waited till later to laugh hysterically at me for being such a dork. I'm a grown woman and I just ran down my hallway because it was dark. I ran past 3 light switches. I'm a dork.

lol I do that sometimes. Don't feel bad. I have been known to run from the bathroom in my room to the bed, with a big jump onto the bed at that!

I don't like to be alone in the dark at all.

I do that sometimes but generally only if I am home alone.

BTDT myself. Have you all felt like you just had to run away because "something" was watching you like an almost physical feeling of eyes on your back and at any second it was going to reach out and grab you?

I did things like that all the time when Phillip used to work nights before we had kids and it was just me at home.
