Default Kids & Gray hair (ds's accident)

I am convinced that since having my kids they have put the gray hairs in my head by the handful.

This morning ds, 5yo, thought it was a good idea to jump off the toy box to the bed. Well his aim was off and he nailed the corner of the foot board with the bridge of his nose. Like all head wounds it bled like a fountain. So I had an ER trip this morning at 8:00 to get him x ray and stitched up.

Thankfully the bone in his nose is still incomplete so he did break it and there was no breaks in his face. He got 4 stitches that he did excellent with. Just cried a little when the numbing stuff was put it (dont blame him there that stuff burns like fire) and cried a bit with the tugging of the stitches. But he didnt fight us so it wasnt as bad as I feared it might be.

He is very swollen and I am thinking 2 black eyes are in his future. But he isnt in pain he says. The Dr. gave me a script for tylenol with codeine but he wont be needing it I dont think.

This is the first time one of mine has needed stitches so I guess I am lucky though dd did break her arm at 10mo learning to walk.

I am adding pics so if you are squeemish scroll by fast.

Oh' my... the poor little guy. I am so sorry that he had this accident. Boys are always trying crazy things and I dread the days when we will have some of these hospital visits. God willing it won't happen any time in the near or distant future. Even though the injuries sound awful, I am sure it could have been much worse. I hope he starts to feel better really soon.

He is doing great hasnt even needed any pain medication. When I ask if it hurts he says nope. Here are the latest pictures in a composite from the day of until tonight.

He is still very swollen and the bruising is becoming easier to see.
