Well here I couldn't get a house for $112 but yeah the cost of living is lower here in the midwest. I lived in seattle for a while and it was nuts how much more expensive things were up there.

That makes more sense and I have also seen that happen. Not too much thankfully but it does happen.

I heard the same remarks when we were on vacation out of state as well. It is a sad reality when the people you are talking to seem so interested to hear how bad it is in Michigan that they are almost pulling up a seat and putting their hands to the sides of their faces while listening intently. I know Michigan isn't the only place struggling but sometimes I feel like we are just based on the comments I hear. I belong to a business professionals website and I get comments all the time from people saying "How bad is it in Michigan?" and one person said "I keep wondering when the last person will leave Michigan and turn off the lights." I have lived here all my life and yet we have considered leaving the state because of this mess.
