Default Bedtime?

What time do your kids go to sleep each night? Is it different for school nights and weekends or when they are on summer vacation? For us our kids usually are in bed around 8:30pm. Too much later than that and it is difficult to get them up in the morning. Even though it is summer break, they still are not up past 9:00pm because each day they go to either their grandmother's house or daycare. Our daughter spends the day with her grandma while we decided to keep our son in daycare.

The sad part is on weekdays when we need them up it can be a hassle to get them out of bed. But almost every single weekend when we would love to have the extra sleep, they are up and ready to go by 6:00am. Our son sometimes will get up before that time too. It never fails.

When dd is in school I try to keep the bedtime no later than 10pm for her. When school is out we dont have a bed time at all really but I do try and get her and ds both in there by 2AM or we sleep the day away.

DS goes to bed when I do since he is not in school yet I dont worry about it. Right now it is going on 3AM and we are both still up though I am fixing to head to bed in a few minutes. During school I usually take dd to school then come back and me and ds finish sleeping usually get up just before time to pick dd up from school.

Since I SAH I have no were I need to be most days so that is what works for us.

Our 12 year old stays up until 10pm-11pm, often on-line chatting with her friends. We've talked with a few of her friends parents and we all agree to no more IM/email after 10pm. She can stay up later, but socializing with her friends on-line ends at 10pm. So far it has not been a huge issue.

If we have a sleep over, the girls can stay up later.

lol Mindy! I'm with ya on that one.

Nichole does not have a set bedtime as she is not in school yet and I stay home with her. But she is a scheduled girl as well. So we go to bed between 6-8. On average 7 is bedtime though. Typically the 6 is on Sunday, we have church from 8:30-12:30 (I work in the nursery) then we go to her friends house for playgroup. The girls play outside and had most of hte time, so its a feed tehm dinner, give them baths, and put Nichole in the car at 6 where she happily falls asleep then I carry her to bed when we get home.
She is up at about 7:30 every morning no matter what. Ocassionaly she has slept in till 8 but that is rare, and a few times she will wake up before 7

Logan goes down between 7:30 and 8 just about ever night. Debralyn goes to bed usually around 8 or 8:30 (8 when school is in session) but there are always exceptions...if she's being really good and all the kids are playing well outside they usually will stay out until it starts to get dark

My kids are 10 and almost 12. School nights bed time is 8:00. At least that's when they start the bed time routine. They will often read in bed until 8:30 or 9. On weekends and during summer and vacations bed time is 10 pm. During sleep overs or if something special is going on (not on a school night) we let them stay up later.

DD is 15. During the school year, she has to go to bed at 10 pm on school nights and 11 pm on weekends. During the summer, she has to go to her room at those times, but she can stay awake as long as she likes.

My kids are just 21-months old. They go to bed at 6:30. We don't vary this. We also get them up at 7 am, but they are usually awake by 6:30 and spend the time giggling and babbling to each other.
